Do you have life dreams or life goals?

We want many things in our life: a happy family relationship, a good job, good friends, a beautiful house, being able to travel anywhere we want and many other things that we believe will make our lives more comfortable and enjoyable.
So the question you need to ask yourself is: “Why don’t I have these things now?”
For many people their goals are just wishes. They want something but they don’t know how to get what they want. They think that just by wishing and believing that what they want will magically appear.
Life doesn’t work that way!
If you want something, you need to know exactly what you want and why you want it. Just because you think that your life will be better doesn’t mean that things will be better. It takes work and effort to achieve your goals.
The first thing you need to do is actually identify your Primary Life Goal.
This is more than just saying “This is what I want.” It is much more than that.
You need to understand WHY you want to achieve that goal. The reasons need to be more than superficial such as “I will be happy.” or “I will be successful.” These are not sufficient reason for your mind to accept the goals and for you to actively work on achieving them. And yes, you need to work to achieve your goals.
Your goal also has to be big enough to motivate you to achieve it. Small simple goals that are easily reached are not enough motivation for you to work on them. You need to set a goal that will stretch you and keep you headed in the right direction. A big goal even if you don’t fully achieve it can still make a huge difference in your life.
Setting a goal for your life starts with really understanding WHAT you want and WHY you want it and HOW it will change your life. If these three things are not a part of your goal, then you will never achieve it because it doesn’t motivate you and make you excited about achieving it. You start to slip back into your comfort zone and eventually your goal just slips away.
After you have really understood your primary life goal and have identified the benefits to you then you need to start on your journey to achieve it. This is when you need to set up a S.M.A.R.T. goal. If you goal is not a S.M.A.R.T. goal then it is still just a wish.

To do that I am offering a 30-minute session that will help you to actually discover your Primary Life Goal.
During this session we will go through and fill in a Primary Life Goal Discovery Exercise Sheet that will help you to fully understand the WHAT, WHY and HOW of your Primary Life Goal. This is not an easy exercise but you will find that the value is high. At the end of the session you will have a detailed outline of your Primary Life Goal. You will still have to set your S.M.A.R.T. goal plan but the first step will be completed.
You will be given the filled in exercise sheet at the end of the session so that the information is available to you when you are actually setting up how you will achieve this goal.
Just knowing what your goal is is the fist step to achieving it. You then need to set up the plan to achieve it and work your plan.
