Confidology

“a process to build your confidence level to a point where you can start new things or do what you are now doing with greater confidence to be more successful”

There are 6 steps within the process:

1. identify the areas that you are confident in and those areas where you are lacking in confidence

2. to identify the limiting beliefs that are holding you back

3. to start to replace those limiting beliefs with new empowering beliefs

4. to determine your short and long term goals

5. to put plans in place to enable you to achieve those goals

6. to continue with guidance to help you to maintain your confidence level

My program to achieve these steps starts with the completion of detailed worksheets with you. I will guide you through the worksheets while on a video call and will complete the worksheets while on the call. A completed copy of the worksheet will be sent to you to review after the call.

After the worksheets are completed and we have established your Primary Life Goal, or the Limiting Beliefs that are holding you back, we will work together to put a plan in place to help you set the goal milestones or the new beliefs so that you can work towards achieving them.

We start the process with a short series of self-discovery questions. People do not take the time to think about their lives. They get busy and after awhile they enter into their comfort zone and stay there even though they have the means within themselves to improve their lives. These questions are designed to get you thinking about various aspects of your own life that could be used in the later stages to help you form your Primary Life goals as well as identify some of your limiting beliefs.

We are held back by our own mind and the first step of growth towards a better life is to understand the things that are actually holding us back and stopping us from being the best person ever.

Through these self-discovery questions we then start to explore those areas that are holding you back from success.

These can be limiting beliefs, not setting achievable goals, a lack of confidence and a lack of motivation.

Limiting Beliefs

During the sessions, we will further identify your limiting beliefs. This is accomplished through additional worksheets and questions and reflection sessions lead by the me. Just identifying the limiting beliefs is not enough. You need to fully understand where these beliefs originated and when as well as how they are impacting your life. During this process, it is not unusual to uncover additional deeper limiting beliefs that you were not even aware that you had.

Before you can move forward you must identify and remove or replace all of your limiting beliefs or your progress can be delayed or even stopped fully because there is a deep limiting belief that holds you back.

You could attempt to remove or replace these beliefs yourself but because some of these limiting beliefs were given to you by people who you respected and looked up to, you may find it very difficult to accept that these people were unintentionally planting the seeds that would stop you from being successful in your later life.

These people meant well but they were just repeating the beliefs that they learned from their family, friends, teachers and bosses during their life.

Once you have identified all of the limiting beliefs that are stopping your progress, you need to replace them with new empowering beliefs. You must make sure that these beliefs are true and that you trust and believe the source of these new beliefs. However even after these new beliefs have been installed in your subconscious, you will still need to be on the alert for the old beliefs coming back. After all you have lived with them for a long time and they are deeply rooted in your subconscious and your belief system, you are comfortable with these beliefs and they are difficult to give up.

During the Confidology process, we will go through a series of workshops and worksheets to identify your limiting beliefs and to guide you to replacing them with your new empowering beliefs. We will also come back to the beliefs on a regular basis to ensure that you do not slide back into your old belief system and that you are still moving forward towards your goals which is the next step in the Confidology process.

Identifying your Goals

Once you have identified and started to remove the limiting beliefs holding you back, you next need to identify your Primary Life Goal. You may have many goals that you want to achieve, but there is usually one primary goal that you want to achieve first that will have the largest impact on your life.

While we have many dreams, wishes and desires, we don’t act on them in a manner that leads us to successfully achieving them. We need to set attainable and reasonable goals and then put a process in-place to enable us to achieve them.

The best method to use is to set S.M.A.R.T. Goals. In the Confidology program, we will work through the discovery of your Primary Life Goal and then using the S.M.A.R.T. Methodology, we will set that goal and start you on the path to achieving that goal.

While your Primary Life Goal is the most important at the beginning of the program, we will also set some secondary goals to keep you motivated and working toward the better life you are looking for.

Confidence

While we are building the plans to achieve your goals, we will also be working on building up and maintaining your confidence. Without confidence in yourself and your abilities, you will not achieve any of the goals you are setting.

Confidence is the basis of success. You need the confidence to continue on when you suffer setbacks, and during the program there will be setbacks. It could be an external event that stops you from moving forward.

There could be internal feelings and conditions that also stop you. Your limiting beliefs may change as you get closer to your goals. We will carefully monitor and review your progress and make the necessary changes to the program to keep you on track to achieving the success you deserve.

Having confidence will also raise your self-respect so that you feel proud of yourself. Until you respect yourself, you cannot harness the power of self-discipline and self-awareness

Self-esteem

Many people when they are having trouble feeling empowered can trace the cause back to a low self-esteem. This can be created during childhood when they are told that they are no good or they are lacking in some characteristic or skill.

So before starting on the journey of setting goals and building up your confidence, we will work on restoring your sense of self-esteem.

Self-discipline

Part of our work together will be to help improve your self-discipline. You may say that you are motivated to achieving your goals, but motivation and self-discipline are not the same. You are motivated to do something when you enjoy doing it. You need self-discipline when the task ahead is not something that you enjoy doing.

During our work together we will build up your ability to create the self-discipline that you will need to achieve the goals you set even in the face of difficulty and difficult situations.

Self-awareness

People who are self-aware understand their own strengths and weaknesses. We will discover these strengths an weaknesses in your life and work to ensure that you enhance your strengths and work to change your weaknesses into strengths.

When you understand your core values you can then raise your self-awareness to a point where you are not seeking outside approval of your goals and achieving the success that you desire.

Keeping a Journal

As part of the Confidology program, you will be required to keep a journal.

While you may not be familiar with journalling, it is a good method of recording your feelings and observations as they relate to achieving your goals and maintaining your confidence. During the program we will review the journal weekly to identify those areas that need more focus.

A journal is also a great motivator. When you look at your past successes you can see that it is possible to achieve the goals you set. This will keep you going forward towards the attainment of your goals.

Homework

No program would be complete without homework.

During your time in the Confidology Program, you will have weekly homework.

This could consist of completing worksheets that relate to the areas we are working on. There could be articles to read with questions that you need to reflect on and answer that relate to the ideas in the articles.

All of the homework articles and worksheets relate to confidence, motivation, success, goals and building a better life for yourself.

Homework is necessary as you are ultimately responsible for your own success. As a coach, I provide the guidance and show you the methods to use for you to achieve success. You must do the work. I cannot do it for you.

The program

The program is 26-weeks long and consists of weekly Zoom or Skype conversations with me to discuss the areas we are working on, reviewing your journal entries for the week as well as the homework. We will continue to discuss your progress and make recommendations for the next week’s work.

During the program you will have unlimited email access to me to ask questions about what we have discussed, the homework and any difficulties you experience between our sessions. This can help to keep you on track and eliminate many concerns that may develop so that you can continue to grow. I will also be available to you for email consulting for an additional 4-months after the program ends.

Before we start we will do some additional assessments to really dig deeper into the areas where we should be focusing. These assessments may guide us to make some modifications to the program so that we concentrate on those areas that will return the most benefit to you and your achievement of your goals.

Results

While results cannot be guaranteed since I do not know your work ethic and continued motivation.  I will be working to keep your motivation high during the program, but motivation is fickle, it ebbs and flows.

Also, your primary goal may take longer than the length of the program (26-weeks) so, while you will be making great progress towards achieving your goal, we may not have reached the successful conclusion of this particular goal.

But, you will be well on your way to success as well as having the tools you need to carry-on. At the end of the 26-week program, you still have access to me to keep you motivated and on-track. We can also arrange to continue working together to keep you moving forward.
